Starting August 7th, when the Nordic Pulse system goes live, you will notice changes to the trail names. While many of the traditional names you know and love will remain, we will introduce new names that will begin with a # symbol. The original name will still be included in brackets for your reference.

Here are the trail names that will be featured in our updated trail map without change or slight tweaks:

  • Main Street (Learners Area)

  • Highlander

  • Upper Merino Glen

  • Lower Merino Glen

  • Chamois Rock

  • Gorge Trail

  • Hanging Valley

  • Kirtle Burn

  • 2006

  • Whoopity Doo

  • Musterers Flat

  • Stag Vale – the actual name of the basin this trail sits in.

  • Toms Track

  • Tranquility – moved to the flat area where it was traditionally groomed.

  • River Run

  • D9 Express

  • Sams Trail

And the following trail’s need new names, the names used here are just temporary working names. We anticipate submissions from you, our community that have some history or stories behind them to use instead of these names. They may not be linked to the place the trail is at but might have some historical significance. Plus we thought maybe less descriptive and more colorful names might be a bit more fun as well.

For example:

#Chilli Dog (Bob Lee Alt Access) – named due to a incident with our side by side going off the side of the trail and having the driver and inside covered with a pot of chilli.

Other trails:

  • #Musterers Cut

  • #Bluey (Dog Loop)

  • #Skyline (Upper Hanging Valley)

  • #Southern Express

  • #Snowshoe Express

  • #Spur Connector

  • #Roller Coaster (The Loop)

  • #Ralph’s Retreat (The Loop)

  • #Drifter (Bob Lee Access)

  • #Horseshoe (The Loop)

  • #Darkside (Old Tranquility)

  • #Sunnyside Up (Old Tranquility)

  • #Bullseye (top part of D9 Express)

Get Involved!

We invite you to be part of this exciting transition! You can submit suggestions for new trail names, and we encourage you to choose names that have a personal story or local significance. Your contributions will help us create a trail map that truly reflects the spirit of our community. Cut off will be August 30th for all trail name suggestions.

This summer we will be following up with new trail signage to match the trail map, pending feedback in August from you all. Check out the map below to see where each trail is located.
