Summer Snow Farm Access

Visiting Snow Farm this Shoulder or Summer Season? Here’s how to access the area.

1. Pay the Road Toll (SHPG) – This gives you the code for the gate at the bottom of the hill. – www.pisaaccess.co.nz

If you’ve booked a hut with us, the road toll is
already INCLUDED — you’ll receive the code after booking.

2. Summer Trail Pass Donation – Optional, but every bit helps! You can make your donation online to support trail upkeep and maintenance.

3. Parking – Park at our Snow Farm car park at the top of the hill and enjoy your summer adventure! You can hike or bike on the trails.

4. 4WD Access – Guests with exclusive hut bookings can bring one vehicle out to the huts between December and March. Book this online, and you’ll receive a detailed route map.

Shoulder Season = October-November, April-June
Summer Season = December-March

Things to know

SHPG Road Toll

The gate at the bottom of the access road is kept locked in summer months. A gate code can be obtained by booking a hut with Snow Farm NZ or paying the road toll of $20 per vehicle online. Please close and lock the gate behind you. No dogs allowed outside of vehicles on the access road.

Summer trail Koha Donation

During summer, we welcome users of our trails for hiking and mountain biking without a trail pass. As a not-for-profit organisation we would really appreciate a donation towards the upkeep and maintenance of the trail network.

4WD Access

We allow 4WD access to huts for exclusive bookings only from December to the end of April (subject to trail conditions). A back-up plan is required in the event of bad weather or wet trail conditions (e.g. freeze-thaw).
