SUMMER AT the SNOW FARM
Snow Farm is close to Wānaka and is the perfect summer destination. Our cross-country skiing trails turn into mountain biking and walking tracks perfect for both newbies and the well-seasoned mountain biking enthusiasts.
Please park at the south end of the main lodge, where you can easily access the trails. Day visitors are required to pay $20.00 per vehicle for the maintenance of the road. This fee is payable in the honesty box; please display your payment confirmation in the window of your car.
Mountain Biking & Hiking
Our trails are perfect for exploring the alpine environment of the Pisa Range by foot or mountain biking. We convert our winter trails to a mountain biking and hiking metropolis, where you can find something for everyone in the family. Donations for trail usage are greatly appreciated.
Stay at a Backcountry Hut
Snow Farm has four backcountry huts that are available to book all year round. Our backcountry huts are great for family overnight tramping trips, as an escape for the night, or as a base for a longer bike-packing or tramping trip further afield.
These huts are the Musterers Hut, Meadow Hut, Bob Lee Hut & Daisy Lee Hut. These all take similar times to reach hiking or biking.
Vehicle access is only permitted in good weather (at our discretion). Refunds will not be given if you cancel due to denied vehicle access.
Summer Trail Map
All Snow Farm tracks are open in summer for mountain biking and hiking. No motorcycles are permitted. 4WDs are only allowed at our discretion, to access huts for overnight trips.
If you require access to the Pisa Conservation Estate, you must have the express permission of DOC and in some instances, access can be granted through the Southern Hemisphere Proving Grounds. Snow Farm does not accommodate any motorised access in the summer except when supporting overnight hut trips
